Maintaining weight

Ive been trying to maintain my weight and when i change my daily calorie goal to maintain, i always gain weight. Im a little confused. my activity level is the same. Rock climbing once a week is the only difference. Does anyone have any tips and/or suggestions. thank you.

If you gain, then you are taking in too many calories, simple as that. Try decreasing by 200 calories per day and see where that puts you at for the next week.0

How long are you giving an increase of calories to see if it's a real gain or not? When you increase calories you will gain at the start since your body is not used to the increase of calories. After a few weeks it should stabalize.
If you have given it a few weeks, start slowly reducing calories to find your maintance point. Remove maybe 100 a week until you start to see your weight stay the same.0
