give up the scale?

I have been on MFP since February 21st. I weighed and and measured myself at that time. Since then I have lost an inch and a half and the scale has stayed THE SAME. I find this sort of odd considering I really haven't done any strength training.
It's not that I am not happy about the measurements because I am.. I am also not going to say that I dont get my hopes up about the scale too, cause i doo . It's motivating seeing everyone's tracker.. then there is mine, lol lost 1 lb. 30 to go. ha.
Not sure what do here. guess just hoping to see if any of you have had a similar experience. THAAANKS.

I rarely ever look at the scale. Even though I feel (and definitely am) much more fit because of MFP and regular exercise, my weight hasn't really changed.
I will weigh myself on occasion just to satisfy my curiosity, but mostly I stick to measurements and also just how I feel looking in the mirror! To me that's much more important than the number.0 -
Ive weighed between 2-5 pounds since Jan the 2nd. I havent lost any more than 5 pounds. I have though lost alot in inches and my body shape is changing rapidly. Scale has been buried in the wardrobe till further notice0

I HATE the damn scale. I have been working out and eating healthy for the past 2 months, and the scale hasn't moved. However, I am smaller, tighter and much, much stronger. My clothes are starting to bag and hang off me, so I know my body is getting toned and I feel so much healthiet. But like you, and most women, I want to see that damn number on that damn scale move...
It's frustrating. So I just don't look at the scale more then once every week or so.
Instead, I listen to my body. Track my workouts and nutrition. I slide into my jeans a lot easier and I can't wear my "fat" clothes anymore.
I'll take that over the damn scale anyday! And so should you! Keep working it! Don't tie your success to the number on the scale.0 -
Our bodies are so odd! when I first began this road! first week BAM 7 lbs, 2nd week 12! then 3! i was shocked but loved it! However, I didn't see much of a change except in my face a bit! that's 20 lbs, you would think i'd see a drastic change right? then I began strength training and that week when I weighed in, only went down one lb but my clothes were suddenly falling off, i had to walk around holding my pants! I think the scale can give us a small clue to our progress but we can't go off of it a 100%!0

It's been two weeks. Have some patience.0

the scale is a pretty crude instrument. look & feel is arguably more relevant.0
