Toenail Removal

I have been walking a lot for weight loss and have had problems with an ingrown toenail. I have had recurring problems with my big toenails throughout my life. About 10 years ago, I had my right big toenail permanently removed. This summer, I had my other toenail removed permanently. I wish I had done it earlier. I love not having problems anymore. The skin has toughened up a bit over time. I would recommend to any who has had problems to have the nail permanently removed. Has anyone else had problems?

I had wedge resections on both of mine when I was 12 - so I still have toenails but they don't give me any trouble any more. Yay!0

I had quitea bit of issues with ingrown toenails until I quit wearing closed toe shoes in every day life and switched to minimalist shoes when closed toe is a requirement.
I'm glad surgery was successful for you though0
