Picky Eating

I have a little picky eating problem...okay a big problem. I really only like pop and fast food without much diversity. It doesn't matter how many healthy things I try to eat, I just can't seem to like anything else. I don't know what to do. Anyone have suggestions on how to overcome this problem of mine?

Unfortunately it is time to suck it up and be an adult. Keep trying new things. Your taste buds will change over time.0

Just keep eating it, you will find something about it you love. Maybe a tasty salad dressing to dip it in or adding veggies to macaroni salad. Keep working with the stuff and you will learn to enjoy it.0

You just have to keep trying. I've been a horrendous picky-eater my whole life thus far, but have made great progress in the last two years. Slowly, but surely! I honestly thought the whole "your taste buds will change over time" was a load of crap, but mine really has been improving thank the frig goodness. Whoever knows your eating habits really well, ask 'em to recommend what foods you should try, that they think you'd like based off of liking (insert whatever food.) If that makes sense. BUT KEEP TRYING!0

First commit to not eating fast food or soda for one month -- I used to love it too, part of me still does -- but you will be amazed what happens if you skip it for a while. I did this and was AMAZED how my taste buds changed. Second -- I bet you will like roasted veggies and meats. Seriously, pick a protein, pick some veggies -- olive oil, salt, pepper in a hot oven. Third find a recipe website you like and TRY things, this is my favorite: http://www.emilybites.com/0

I can feel your pain there -- my problem is vegetables and whatnot, and its getting easier with time to enjoy them. I'm still working at trying new foods, but what's helped me is to realize how much more of a vegetable I can eat than fast food. A burger is great here and there, but I never feel full afterwards -- my tastebuds are just sated. I may not really crave carrots, but damn, I can eat alot of them and feel full.
Its sort of a hard pyschological thing to overcome, but I just try to barrel through it.0 -

This. There is no reason you should dislike real food, it's what your genes are programmed to enjoy.0
