wedding/holiday in 2 weeks shed

... not my own wedding, but still want to shed whatever I can up until then and look as good as I can expected given my short period of time! I'm quite above my normal weight at the moment & have been trying to get back to it in time for this but it hasn't been happening.

In true last minute style, would it be unreasonable for me to stick to 1200 cals per day for the next 2 weeks? I think I should usually be on about 1500 but have been going above that hmm. A trainer suggested I go very low carb for the next 2 weeks - I think the meal plan would have been just under 1000 cals all up. Unsure if that is a good idea even for 2 weeks?

Of course I will be drinking lots of water, watching salt intake, avoiding alcohol and processed foods until then :)

If you had 2 mths then it would make a difference as you could lose half a stone safely and see a small improvement in you body shape, 2 weeks isn't going to give a visual difference in your body at all so its kinda pointless and potentially will have negative repercussions from doing what you suggest. Also weight loss isn't about restricting carbs its about eating in moderation at a deficit, as long as you stick to your calorie goal then you can eat whatever. Trainers != nutritionalists.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking 2 weeks is way too short to make any decent/healthy difference. If only I decided to do something about this 2 months ago! It is very frustrating with my trainer - he keeps telling me to stick to the plan!

I just checked out the special K meal plan... the plan put me on 1800 cals per day so probably more than what TDEE is... but some delicious looks recipes in there! Thanks :)
