Are you an emotional eater? If you think you might be, its a good idea to check in with yourself through out the day, paying attention to signals from your mind and body and then asking these 4 Q:
1. Am I experiencing hunger sensations?
2. What is my level of hunger (0-ravenous and 10- is already full)?
3. What am I hungry for? Do you want something sweet, salty, starchy? Pay attention to your cravings.
4. What emotions am I experiencing, if any? Use "I feel....." statements to describe these.
Go thru these Q before eating and see what happens.
