What are TDEE? A percentage of what?
And there's another acronym with an "M" in it going around (not MFP-i know that one. lol). What is that?
What are these, what seem to be, consumption guidelines about, and how/where do can I calculate my own?

Total Daily Energy Expenditure. The total amount of energy you burn through your day including all activity. Eat less than that, and you will lose weight.

TDEE is total daily energy expenditure - the amount of calories you burn all day long based on your activity level. Generally people will subtract 20% from this number for weight loss (and you don't eat back exercise cals with this method as they are figured in with your activity level).

As for the "M" acronym - probably BMR? Basal metabolic rate, which is the amount of calories your body burns if you do nothing all day, just stay in bed. If you were in a coma and in the hospital, the doctors would feed you your BMR in calories.
This ensures you have enough nutrients for vital organs to function.0 -
