Why are exercise totals being posted in tenths?

Today I noticed that people's exercises posts are now being added with a .0 on the end.

Example: "so-and- so burned 310.0 calories doing...".

Why? Any ideas?

    The ability to nitpick even more over something that is only an estimate anyways?
