When/what to eat before weight training.

I am gearing up for early morning weight training. I already do a ton of cardio and some light weight training, but mostly on my days off or late in the the day at home. I usually my early mornings for making a huge (paleo) breakfast to start my day. I usually have a nice balance with a lot of protein and carbs. So, what is the best regimen for pre and post weight training meals. A lot what I read on other forums suggests supplements. I try to stay away from whey and soy powders and eat actual food. Any advice???
