Juice fast

I started a 10 day juice fast today. 60% veggies and 40% fruit 4x's daily about 16 to 20 oz each. Does anyone know how I count the calories? Should I just not worry since my body will be doing very little processing. Unsure please help.

I guess it depends on your goals. Mine is to lose fat while maintaining muscle. I count calories to maintain a reasonable deficit and at the same time, to make sure I get all I need not feel like I gotta go vomit in the corner while training at the gym

I have whole green fruit smoothies for breakfast as a meal replacement to save myself some calories early on in the day followed by a light mid morning snack with protein. It keeps my sugar cravings to nil, thankfully, cause I get my daily allowance and a wee bit more usually on both sugar & fiber due to the smoothies.
  • I've done nearly 200 days of juice cleansing/fasting. It's best to aim for a full gallon of juice a day, at the very least.

Juicing only removes the fiber (which your body needs) so whatever the calorie count is of whatever you throw in is the calories of your juice. That said, your body doesn't need to be cleansed, it does that all by itself and drinking juice is not fasting. It's a way of robbing your body of the protein that it needs to maintain muscle mass. You'll mostly lose water weight which will come right back and it teaches you nothing about how to eat to maintain a healthy weight.
