I don't have a scale and I'm making my chicken tonight and a serving size is 3 ounces. Is there a way that you can kind of estimate how much 3 ounces is without a scale?

I have heard that 3oz of chicken looks like the size of a standard deck of cards. (Not a full deck of UNO cards, as I had once hoped....)
Hope that helps!0 -
that's a tough one....I would say it's bigger than a 1/3 cup but less than 1/2 cup if that helps.0

Here is an article I copied to my blog about serving size. Check it out! I use those tips all the time!

3 oz is roughly the size of the inner palm of your hand. Chicken is leaner than pork or beef so for those two it doesn't apply.0

I've used the standard Weight Watchers philosophy that 3 ounces of chicken is equivalent to the size of the palm of your hand.0

These all sound pretty accurate...but buy a scale, most helpful 15 bucks you'll spend! And be sure to get one that has a "tare" function.0
