Hi

Has anyone tried the 'Eat Water' Rice, Noodles & Pasta?

Thinking of trying them but have heard a few mixed reviews.

Thanks

I heard about it on another diet forum. I know that it can be purchased from Holland & Barrett in the Uk.

What are the claimed benefits to this?

Any diet that restricts certain food groups is not a well balanced diet IMO.

I've tried Eat Water! I'd count them as healthy diet food...you don't eat them at every meal, and they're really high in fibre. They keep you full for quite a long time and stop your rice and noodle cravings, which is pretty important for me! I think my favourite is their slim pasta though. They've got some great recipes on their site. It seems you can use them in high fibre smoothies too!

If you're looking for a way to bulk out a meal without adding many calories then use them, but personally I think they're over-priced and I'd much rather have a small portion of real rice or pasta, and bulk out the meal with veggies.

Overweight people fail with or without excluding certain food 90% of the time.

I have just been extolling the virtues of cauliflower rice on another thread and I think I would rather have that. Mind you, I don't like rubbery or slimy textures, so I'm probably put off by that. I think they are worth a try- very expensive though.

The Barenaked Noodles from Holland & Barret or Morrisons are great and they pass the boyfriend and child test! Always have them in a stir fry with Salmon.

I believe they don't work well as a pasta substitute as they apparently sort of repel the sauce! But as a stir fry noodle they're fantastic!
