I hit a wall. I've been bouncing off the wall for three weeks--up one--down one--up one---down one. I can't seem to break past a the weight that I'm stuck at but I have a solid 5 pounds more to lose. What's worked for you?

Change something!
Change an aspect of your diet. Try to go vegan for a week, or even juice fast. And/Or change what kind of exercise you're doing, the intensity, add in a new activity, change the frequency of exercises, try splitting up your workout into two segments a day.
Twice a day workouts really helped me in losing my last 5-10lbs. You can double up your workouts or just split your normal workout in two. Good luck.0 -
Have you lowered your calories deficit? The less weight you have to lose, the slower it needs to come off, or your body will just try to hold on to it. You can't lose a pound a week or 2 pounds a week if you're already at a healthy weight. At least that can't be a long-term plan. If you really only have 5lbs left to lose, knock it down to losing only 1/2 a pound a week. I know its frustrating when you're that close, but it's really the only thing that will work. Also, do more weight training, try calorie cycling, try the eat more/exercise more, etc.0

This is what worked for me, also. I started doing 45 minutes of cardio on my lunch break in addition to the hour+ of weight lifting I did after work. You won't have to double up workouts once you get to goal weight/maintenance stage, so it's well worth the temporary schedule add, if you can squeeze it in. I also advocate increasing your intensity in whatever you're currently doing, if you're not at max level. :-)0 -
I hit a plateau in January. I literally didn't lose a single ounce (or gain) for the entire month. I started working out twice a day, drinking more water and increased the incline on my treadmill. After doing all of that, I dropped about 7 pounds in February. I've read that you should switch up your routine about every 2 weeks to keep your body from becoming complacent.0
