I Just got a HRM . I'm 166pds male and I went 30 minutes and it said I burned 295 cals. Does this seem high? I'm thinking its way high or would that be for real? I know HRM arent 100% accurate so I'm just trying to enter a good number for exercise on MFP.

Yes, that probably is right. 30DS is a good workout.

That sounds about right to me. I haven't done 30DS, but when I do a 30 minute high intensity cardio video I get about 230-280 and I'm a woman and about 155 lbs.
  • It probably is right. I'm a 5ft2 female and 144lbs and my HRM tells me I burn 198-215 cals doing level 1 of the 30 day shred.

I think it's about right. I just went back and looked at what I used to log for that workout. 5'6" 140 female. I think mine was really high at 377. That was day one when I had zero endurance and it was a lot harder.

Grr. For L1, I average 160 according to my HRM. Not sure why. I don't modify many of the moves. :grumble:

I'm 5'3" and 174lbs. My HRM doesn't give me a calorie count but my average HR was 162. I use BodyMediaFit and it says I burned 157 calories today doing workout 2 with 5lbs weights.

I didn't want to search through my data to find workout 1s, but I did notice when I was doing workout 1 that by the fourth or fifth time my calories burned went up a bit, but my HR went down. I think it was because I was better able to do each movement with more intensity.

Okay so for the third time doing workout 1 with 3lb weights (I don't do the workouts day after day. I do them two or three times a week.)-
My average HR was 160 and my BodyMediaFit says I burned 186 calories.
