The link below shows Britney Spears latest ads for Candies...one photoshopped and whatthe company used and one not and reportedly "slipped ouy" by Britney herself....
She looks GREAT in the non photoshopped -but jus goes to show that even looking great isnt good enough for the media....
another confirmation that we are reaching for the impossible when we compare to "hollywood"....at least at what we are told is hollywood.

  • I saw that this morning! Even though the photoshopping is not as extreme as some of the ones I've seen, what I really noticed is how ... unreal they made her look. Like she still looked HOT in the regular pictures, and then in the retouched ones she looks kinda ... plastic. Her legs look a mannequin or something. So bizarre.

seen the vid with the link you provided uh! never a shock with photoshopping of the mags or ads whatever in advertisement, just another thing to show you how much you have to work out so hey get out there & bust out another set & don't stop your improvements alright. hahahahaha

Hey by the way you look like Britney are you sure you're not her in well I don't think it's so much a disguise, but hey out in front. heh:-)

hm, just tried the link, didn't work for me, just kept flashing on and off on the screen (blank screen)

Oh, well I imagine I'll get by without seeing it.

Thanks though looks like it's working for others, probably my security on my system

I have to say this really disgust me! As a person whose battled with eating disorder, body dismorphia, and body image issues I feel sick and ANGRY about this. She looks beautiful, FIT and HEALTHY in the real photo. Why must our society be obsessed with thin as a rail, unhealthy weight! WTG Birt for putting out the real photos!

I love britney I think she always looks great!!!! fat skinny whatever she looks great!!
  • I'm not shocked by the photoshopping...remember that mag cover with Demi Moore and her missing hip.

What I am glad for is that Britney started this herself...brought the truth out on her own which I applaud. What's wrong with your real body. Yes I know we are all here to improve ourselves but at the end of the day I can appreciate all the hard work I've put in to see the results. I personally would much rather see stars and celebrities in their natural skin, not made up perfectly, wearing everyday attire. That'd be much more relatable than seeing them all the time perfect....there's a time for that its called movies and shows and fashion shoots. I've never strived to look like anyone and am trying desperately to sway my daughters away from looking to an idealized version of perfection you can only reach by way of photoshop. Kudos to this post!!! :flowerforyou:

    Does this really surprise anyone?

Maybe it's that I work in Hollywood in the entertainment industry, but I really thought the fact that published pictures/ads are almost ALWAYS altered in some way was very VERY common knowledge.
I think it's great when Britney and other celebs publish the unaltered photos..gives people a more realistic idea of beauty.

No, it didnt surprise me as much as made me mad! The unreal ideal that is set up for people to see as real....I know that it isnt real and that no matter what I eat or how much I exercise I wont look like the photos...but do my 10 year old daughters? I try and teach them but when every magazine, tv show etc etc it just pisses me off! :-)
