Hey guys nd girls I was just wondering whether I could get some of your opinions on peanut butters that contain hydrogenated oils nd natural peanut butters ? Is one better than the other ? Are the hydrogenated oils in some peanut butters such as Skippy bad for you ? I heard that they were so I've been only buying natural peanut butters ? But I would really like to get some clarification because I have alot of Skippy peanut butter jars at home I don't use or eat from because once again they contain hydrogenated oils.
I also say this because I recall seeing one of Alberto Nunez's videos nd saw a jar of regular skippy's peanut butter ?

Peanut butter should have very few ingredients to get the full benefits without the crap.

I use Skippy natural PB personally. It doesn't have all the weird things in it that regular Skippy has, and I honestly prefer the taste.

On the other hand, I don't believe that the regular stuff is nearly as "bad" for you as the fear mongers want you to believe. Unless, of course, you eat the whole jar for dessert, lol. (Hmmm...mixed with Hershey's syrup and ice cream, that isn't such as bad idea, lol)

I just bought a jar of Krema Natural Peanut Butter (crunchy!). It tastes great, my daughter likes it, and the only ingredient is peanuts! I am working towards eating a clean, whole foods, plant-based diet. Key words...working towards... I have a half bag of whey protein powder that I fully intend on finishing because that is expensive! My advice...use up your Skippy or use it sometimes...alternate between the natural stuff? I can't see throwing out most foods unless they are SUPER bad for you...I was raised on Jif and survived! For the future though, I'll be buying Natural! :)
