Lower calories during the day.

Here recently I've been eating small portions during the day for breakfast and lunch. Then, when I get home for dinner I still have like 700-800 calories still left for dinner. I'm not sure if this is ok. It's not like I'm starving during the day. I feel satisfied. I mainly eat fruits and vegetables during the day and then at night I have some type of meat. I'm currently not eating breads, pastas, potatoes, or any other food like those. (Yes, I do have a cheat day.) What do you think? Do I need to try to eat more during the day or is it OK what I'm doing since I'm staying within my calorie count.

When you eat during the day is not going to impact your weight loss. As long as over the course of the day (or, some would argue week, but either way) you're eating the appropriate number of calories to support your size and activity level, and as long as you feel satisfied (and unlikely to binge) and have enough energy for your workouts and such, it doesn't matter when you eat them.0

It doesn't matter when you eat, or whether you split it into 6 equal meals or one big one.
I typically have about 1200 calories between dinner and an evening snack.0 -
Your day sounds like mine, and it has worked for me so far. I like to have a larger meal for supper with my fiance. I typically eat 450-600 calories throughout the day and then have 600-800 left over (depending on exercise) for supper. As of this morning, I've lost 45.4 lbs. I don't think it's a big deal.0

Agreed. If it works for you then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!0 -

Yes, it's fine. I lost eating 1000 - 1200 calorie dinners.0
