So I started back in last year about a year after I had my duaghter and intitialy lost 8lbs. I have been staying within my calorie goals I hit a plateu and then strayed off track for a few months but Ive been sticking with it even thou I might not log every day after a year I pretty much know if Im going over my calorie goal. My diary is open. i just started 30 day shred and ive been running 1 mile almost everyday and walking a few miles thru the week for over 3 weeks now. I wieghed my self and i have gained the 8 lbs back!!! i look smaller i feel healthy and i notice a small difference in my body but im upset becuase i want to see those pounds come down. I have my calories set at 1300 I kept going back and fourth from 1200 which i lost the initial wieght eating 1200. i upped them to get over that not loosing hump. that did not work. my question now is should I eat back my excercise calories. i think i need to try not eating them back i usually eat almost all of them back.. my TDEE calculations. say i need 1462 if i excercise 3 times a week and 1675 if i dont. that seems really hight to me and im very short about 5'3 i just cant get the scale past 161 and then ill go back up to 169 back down to 165 and so on!!! any suggetions would be helpful.
thanks,
:)

Something's off with your TDEE calculations; you shouldn't be eating more if you don't exercise versus if you do (one of the reasons to do cardio is to eat more ).

That said, YES you need to eat back your exercise calories because that's how MFP is set up. Eat your total daily goal. And considering you aren't that high of a weight, your goal should not be to lose two pounds a week. You should set it to lose half a pound to a pound a week. Then you need to ignore the scale. You said that you are looking and feeling better; don't let the number on the scale get you down.

sorry I meant the other way around 1675 if I do excercise and 1462 if I dont. ! I think this is way to much! I do have it set at i believe .5 lbs a week it puts me at 1300 calories and i eat my excercise calories back so some days i could be eating up to about 1500 calories depending on how much I have burned. Im just discouraged becuase i would expect to loose some wieght at least after all this time and hard work but instead I have gained!
