Tips for breaking the yo-yo cycle

I feel like I keep cycling between the same four pounds - and it's so frustrating, because no matter what i do I can't cross the threshold of losing 15 lbs or more.

Any tips to finally push myself over that edge? Up exercise, up water intake, cut back on sugar, cut back on sodium - I've tried it all, but I'm willing to try it again if you think it can finally bust this plateau.

(I also welcome links to previous threads of this nature, I had a hard time knowing what to search for.)

Thanks!

I have the same problem! I tried all the fad diets and they work great and then its like you said you reach a certain point and then you platow. I am up for suggestions to. My friend who is a dietician said clean foods and foods that are high in your daily nutrients always help. If you body is not getting enough it will think its starving and actually gain weight or keep the weight you have.

This method always works for me and many other have been successful with it, too. Increase protein, decrease carbs, and vary your workouts (if you normally run, start lifting and vice versa). Make sure you drink plenty of water, too. If there's still no change within 3-4 weeks, eat less/move more.
