Weight bar and NROLFW question

I'm looking for anyone who has or is going through The New rules if lifting for women as a home workout. I don't have a barbell set, only dumbells that go up to 55lbs. Have you managed to get started with just dumbells? I've got some looking into batbells to do, but right now it's not financially possible. I'm starting the program on Mar 12. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated thanks!

    I'm not familiar with "the New rules" but I have found this website to be a good resource for strength training by specific equipment available.

    You can get started, but I would highly recommend find somewhere you can do squats with a barbell. You will have much better form and, if you stick with the program, you will be far beyond a 55# squat by the end of the first stage.
