I love food. A lot. Too much, in fact. I am also very cat-like, which leads me to believe the person who drew this cartoon was thinking of me when they made it.
I also love cooking, especially baking, for myself as well as for others, which leads to the problem of being the first, and sometimes the only one, to indulge in all the grand quantities of goodies that I make. A hell of a dilemma. At least I tend to make my stuff with wholesome ingredients. Sometimes I mess up my recipes big time, but sometimes I come up with drool-enducing, awesome tasting stuff. So here's some pictures I thought I'd share with you guys (PS I am counting on all these photo links to work. If not, well darn I don't know...)
Hardboiled egg dyed with cooked beets (believe it or not), with homemade mayonnaise and cajun spice.
Vegan sushi and springrolls, served with mustard tamari sauce and gingery peanut butter sauce respectively. Lots of pickled vegetables included.
Falafel on a bed of greens, with a drizzle of tzatziki sauce.
Vegetarian lasagna! Made with rice lasagna noodles, lots of garlic, spinach and parmasan cheese.
Cheesy kale chips made with nutritional yeast - Yum! These things are seriously addictive.
Black bean brownies! It's not as strange as it sounds. These are gluten-free and sweetened mostly with bananas. The frosting is made with avocados and a liquid sweetener.
My favorite way to eat sweet potatoes - Bake sweet potatoes in oven until very soft. Stir equal parts of natural peanut butter with real maple syrup and a pinch of salt and pour over sweet potato. Absolutely amazing.
My famous ABC Pudding - 1 avocado, 4 very ripe bananas, and about 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. Blend, let chill in fridge for 1 hour (important!), and enjoy! Absolutely delicious and filling! Don't eat the whole thing in one sitting though! This makes about 3 servings.
Omg this 5-minute microwave cake makes me drool whenever I look at it. Vegan, made with oat flour.
~Oooooh yeah, you know what this is.
Peppermint patties! Made with coconut oil. These are quite hard to make, but daaaamn good!
Here's a divine little dessert - A raw vegan brownie of walnuts, raisins, cocoa powder and strawberries, topped with an almond sauce, double topped with strawberry mint sauce.
Not healthy by any means, but aren't they beautiful? I learned to make these swans at a catering/culinary school.
Hope you enjoyed! and hopefully I haven't made you too hungry now... Let me know if you want any of these recipes or others from my giant book of experiments
