Need some suggestions especially to lower sodium. Extra protein is good for the lifting but not sodium. I am eating very healthy and Iam under in calories everyday.

do you eat a lot of pre-packaged foods? those are generally high in sodium. canned soup, canned beans, etc. lots of salt. but you can get lower-sodium options there too.

    Exactly-

Most likely you are buying your meals.

Suggestion to lower sodium: cook your own food! Also, get a food scale if you want to weigh out your sodium requirements. (something like 2 grams and spread it out in all of your meals- although I've heard we really don't need sodium in our diets at all.... oh well! )

You could also preplan your meals for the day and eliminate foods that put you over the limit. So for example, tonight put in all of the foods you want to eat tomorrow in your food tracker. See what comes up in the sodium talley. Over 2 grams? Change it up!

Definitely prepare your own food and avoid pre-packaged foods as much as possible.

    Low-sodium, High-protein foods:

However, our bodies DO need sodium, but not too much -- and here's why:
