Only eating once

Today I only ate once. I don't usually do this but when I woke up this morning I wasn't that hungry so I waited for lunch. I finally ate lunch around 3:30 PM. I ran three miles and I'm still full to the point I'm only hungry for probably a piece of fruit. I know I need to eat several times a day to keep my Metabolism active but what fallbacks should I be concerned about considering this only happened to me today or is skipping these meals just for today ok?

Definitely don't recommend it, but one day isn't going to do any harm. If you have a large meal or eat shortly before you go to bed you will often wake not hungry. Perhaps you had more than usual last night?0

It's a myth that your metabolism slows down if you don't eat several times a day. Unless you have underlying medical concerns (like diabetes, low blood sugar, etc) your body won't mind if you eat all of your calories in one meal or spread them out over seven.0

You do not have to eat several times day to keep your metabolism going, this is just a myth. Meal timing has nothing to do with metabolism.
So eat when you are hungry, and do not eat when you are full.
Myself, I skip breakfast..have a small lunch which is about 20-25% of my cals for day and then have largest meal post work out...I do IF lean gains which is a little different..but eat three meals, eat six meals, hell eat 90 meals..as long as you stay in deficit and hit your macros you will see results...
Do what works for you.
But please don't think because you skipped snack 10 out of 11 that you are going into "starvation mode"...0 -
Thanks for everyone's reply.0

As long as you hit your macros, and your calories, it doesn't matter too much, and the occasional day where you don't feel like eating, or don't feel like eating as much or as often isn't going to undo anything. No worries.0
