Like getting robbed once again !!!!

Do you know that if you are robbed of jewery and it is found at a store which buys gold, that you have to buy the jewery to get it back? I would think that this store (having bought stolen items) should not be re-paid. But, because they paid money to the thief I now have to pay them for my own jewery. Oh well, I just want to get that off my chest.

    Odd, check with your lawyer, if they are dealing in stolen items....

    I agree with the others check with a lawyer and the cops as well. When my house was robbed one of the first things the cops told me was if I saw any of my items for sale in a shop or kijiji I was to notify them and they would retrieve the item for me.

    It was the police who told me this. I identified the pieces and the clerk put them back in a bag and took it to the back room. I am required to pay for them because the business would be out the money they paid the thief if I didn't.

    Yes, but they are dealing in stolen goods. Sounds a little sketchy to me.
