It's expiring soon and we can't afford to keep it up. I live in s.california and can easily walk outside most days, I don't have a bicycle but think that may be remedied soon, I do have access to DVD/Blu Ray player at home too. So cardio is mostly covered, I figure, at least for the point I'm at now. However I'm wondering about weights. Are there home lifting programs that don't require me to buy a weight bench and weights? Would body weight exercises count? I'm totally new to this, help a girl out. (oh, I'm 35yo, 5'7", and CW is 246lb)

If you want to build muscle or get stronger, you'll eventually need heavier weights to lift. But, to start out, body weight exercises are good. You can also get resistance bands for pretty cheap at Walmart, and you can get fairly heavy ones, so taht's worth investigating. Nerd Fitness has some good reources for bodyweight exercises, and, while I've never read it myself, I've seen good things about Your Body is a Gym, I think that's the title. Suats, lunges, push-up (start at the wall, work to modified, then regular), planks and variations, leg lifts, etc. are all good.0
