You can add a lifting program, but not something like a 5x5 routine. You are several months away from that. The body has to adapt to any new routine and you also need to learn proper form, get control over movements, etc, etc.0

Walks with the puppy mean we walk for about 20 yards, she stops, sniffs around, chases a bug, then we walk again, lather, rinse, repeat. Then she really gets tired, and I carry her.
That's good to hear. I've seen people cause their pups a load of problems in the future by exercising them too hard, too soon.
And look on it positively, every time you carry her, that's a little bit of weight training right there. Although this may become a problem if you've got yourself a Newfoundland.0
