Hi my name is Emily and i am new to MFP. My friend from college told me about the site and how she used it to help her lose weight with allie, that pill plan for women. I am determined to shed weight by walking/jogging while also doing hard core wiifit. I have been over weight most of my life and due to the stress of everyday life and school i have gained more weight and have decided to get hardcore about losing weight.
I am also hypoglycemic due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I would love to connect and compare notes with any other women who have PCOS. The cysts i have are really bad and i really would like to reduce the symptoms by losing weight and i also want to have children in the future. I am also very determined to shed baby fat and hopefully reach my goal before I get married (financially that would probably be in like 4-6 years).
I am having a hard time finding motivation (i always have) because my parents truly do not believe in me. They tell me to lose weight and such but do not expect me to lose anything even if i work out or not. The only supporters i have are my sister and my fiance' and i dont like how i have to do this alone. Hopefully i can get some support via interwebs.

Well I don't have PCOS but you CAN do this! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Just stick to logging and be honest what you log. It's hard in the beginning but once you continually do it, it will get easier! Hopefully at least your fiance and sister will be by your side during this journey. Good luck to you. You CAN do it!0

AWESOME!!! I'm new too, only been on here for 9 days but I already feel like I have been doing this for awhile. The people here are SO supportive. We are all going through our struggles with weight and everyone has a different story but we all have a common goal. Anytime you feel discouraged (which is ineviatble) just log on and voice your concern, you will get tons of people holding your hand and helping you get through the tough spots!! Good for you for making such a positive change in your life!! You CAN do this !!!0

welcome, Emily! I know what you mean about struggling with motivation! Just keep logging your food and exercise. You might find that success is the best motivator! You are doing a good job because you are here! I've lost and gained back the weight of a linebacker over the years. This time I am determined to go slow and steady. I'm hoping to create and embrace some new habits along the way that will keep the weight off this time! This is a marathon and I want to be the turtle this time! Everything you need to do this is already inside you. Don't let anything on the outside distract you!0
