Ok first post here! I need some help figuring out my activity level for my TDEE calculation. I'm 5'7" and currently 147 lbs. I'm trying to get down to 135. I don't own a car and walk everywhere, I've worn a pedometer for a few days and I usually average 8,500-9000 steps a day sometimes more if I have errands to run, shopping, etc. I also do 20 minutes of vinyasa yoga 6 mornings a week, and then 4 nights a week I go for jogs usually for around 20 minutes. I'm not sure if this is moderately active or active. Any input would be great!!

My understanding of the activity level is what is your job... not what do you do in your free time, you should track all the stuff you do in your free time as it fits... but as far as activity level mine is set based on my job (desk job) even though im in the gym twice a day 5 days a week, with running at least 2 times a week on top of that.0

It sounds like you're active but when I was trying to lose weight I erred on the side of caution and put myself as less active than I actually was. I would set it at moderately active and give that a try for a couple of weeks and readjust if necessary. Best of luck to you!0

Use Active.0

i would go with active
activity level on mfp is basically job + life, excluding exercise.
TDEE calculators want everything - job, life, exercise, etc.0
