Going for Chinese

I am going to have Chinese food today and I was considering the MaPo Tofu as a relatively healthy option. I am thinking I will ask them to go easy on the oil and add some extra veggies. Thoughts? Any better options that you would suggest?

looks liek a good approach. Also, skip the rice--oro at least be mindful of your portion size!

Personally, I'm a sucker for mala green beans and schezuan eggplant. But that's just me!

Okay that was a disaster! lol! I asked them to go light on the oil and add a few veggies. Dude was a real rude and said that is $2.00 more. Okay no problem. Dish comes and it is swimming in a thick brown extremely salty sauce. There are a few small pieces of asparagus chopped up. Uh no. Not what I intended.

Oh well. I picked about a cup and half of the tofu out and the few pieces of "extra veggies" ate about 1/3 cup of rice. Will try something different next time and won't ask for extra veggies, especially at this place.

    *sigh* Live and learn.
