Having a hard time...

I've really been having a hard time staying under my calorie goal the past couple of weeks even on days when I exercise. I seemed to be doing good for the first few months with even taking rest/cheat days on the weekends. I guess I've changed it lately to only one rest day on the weekend and not even cheating at all unless I am having a few drinks and one day during the week because there's usually a day like today where I just feel sore and have no energy and just want to lay around on the couch but it seems like lately I'm going over my calories at least 3 times a week because I am just that hungry. Now today I already made a boo boo and ate 2 pieces of pizza for lunch (my stomach's paying for it now) and didn't exercise so I know I'm going to be over today. Also, I have gained 2lbs. over the past couple of days but I'm hoping that is just due to starting a new exercise routine with along with a new level of 30ds. When I first started 30ds i also gained 2lbs. at first but lost them again in a few days.

Try adding more fresh fruits and veggies to your diet. They will help fill you up. Veggies especially are low calorie but high volume.

I agree about added the fruits and veggies. Alot of the foods in your diary are high calorie unfilling foods. You would be able to eat more if you added vegiies and fruits to your diet. Im not too fond of veggies but I like the green giant single serve veggies. they have broccoli and cheese sauce for only 40 calories. Cauliflour and cheese sauce..peas and corn with basil sauce 80 cal.

Just remember that because you have slipped doesn't mean it is the end of the world. You can do this. You have to think about how bad you want it. Try to remember why you're doing this and all of the benefits that will come your way. You can be strong  YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!!:flowerforyou:

I looked back at the last week and strictly speaking on calories you haven't been going over except one day. There were a couple close days, and some you were under. It all evens out.

Look at your calories per week - as long as your total for the week is about even you should be OK. And remember to drink water (sneaks off to get a glass because she forgot.....)

Totally love this statement. We have all been there and had crappy days.....count me in for 3 bad days last week and then I turned that funky mood around and got right back on track.
I eat alot of vegetables, but if you are not a veggie lover then you can always juice some of them like kale and beets and put them in a smoothie or you can just blend up spinach and not even know it is in there. My go-to smoothie lately is: .33 cup blueberries, .50 small banana, 1 c spinach, 2oz greek vanilla yogurt and .50 scoop van whey powder and it is very good and filling. Hope this helps and YOU CAN DO THIS!

Save for the two pieces of pizza your diary looks pretty good! We all make mistakes, I would just chalk it up to a bad meal. Won't hurt you in the long run. Just keep doing what you're doing.

Btw, I love, love, love Silk Dark Almond Chocolate Milk, too. I drink it for breakfast and to recuperate after my long runs. Good stuff :)

ETA: Oh and you will initially gain when doing 30DS....your muscles will retain water. Take before and after pics though, cause I've done 30 DS, Ripped In 30 and currently 6 Week 6 Pack. All of Jillian's DVD's work wonders! Just don't give up. Halfway through you'll see great results.

I have gotten good results with 30 ds so far and have 7 days left until I'm done but started another workout in conjunction with it on Tuesday and think maybe that is why I gained the 2 lbs. again because before that I had lost a total of 7lbs. so far with 30ds and a good bit of inches too!

Water is something I've noticed I've slacked off on for awhile. Yesterday was the first day in awhile I got 8 cups in. I think lately it's been more like 2-4 so that is another things I am going to work on.

Fiber, protein and lots of liquids help me. Hot beverages seem to make me feel full between meals. I love having tea with Splenda/Stevia/Nectress. I usually have oatmeal for breakfast and the fiber keeps me full awhile. I also try to keep lots of low cal snacks around. Baby carrots, sugar free Jello, etc.
