Struggling to find a balance...

Now that I've become accustomed to working out and eating healthier, I'm struggling to find the balance between caloric intake and calories burned. I know that if you don't take in enough calories your metabolism is hindered and you don't have the fuel to sustain your workouts. I workout as hard as ever but I want my furnace burning higher! Any tips?
