The non-hormonal version of the pill?

Hi Everyone,

So after being on Microgynon way back when I was 16-18 (I'm about to turn 22) I switched to the Implanon when I was 18. I'm pretty sure this has been a killer for me weight wise - my appetite soared and so did my weight (I'm a UK 14 now compared to a size 10 when I started uni). I'm due to get the Implanon removed next week, and heard about a non hormonal pill - I think this might be a good choice for me as basically it will just my body be free for a bit, and hopefully balance out my appetite finally! Of course I've already changed my diet substantially too...

So yeah, is anyone already on this pill? What's your experience like with it? Do you have to have any special reason to be prescribed this type of pill? Or are there any other methods that you think are better?

Thanks in advance!

The only ways a non hormonal pill are going to stop you getting up the duff are surely going to be

    a) make it so huge and deliver it like a pessary

    b) make it rohypnol and give it to your SO so he sleeps all night every night.
