I have done several half marathons and I am ready to tackle the big one. I'd love some advice from all of you seasoned pros, like things you wish you'd known during your training for that first 26 mile stretch. Thank you for any responses!

You may want to get on runnersworld.com and post this question. You may get a few responses here , but RW is the best.
BTW - I run marathons and RW is the best place for the advce you are looking for. Ahh would you go to the dry cleaners for a pedicure.?? catch my drift?0 -
dailymile.com is also a good fitness site to ask questions about running. I'm new to the site, so I'm still trying to figure it out but is really similiar to MFP for fitness and Facebook0
