should i run today?

i lifted and did turbo kick last night and my butt/thighs are a bit sore, but not terribly. my last rest day was one week ago and i'm pretty tired right now. i want to do a 4 hour bike ride tomorrow. in your expert internet opinion, should i still run for about an hour tonight?

    You said you're tired. What kind of tired is it? Is it your body telling you that you need a break considering you haven't had a rest day in a week? Or, is it your body telling you that you're workouts have been demanding but you're not going to kill yourself if you go running? Be honest with yourself. Otherwise you risk overuse injuries... that could put you out of routine for a long while.

    If you feel sore and tired and want to ride for four hors tomorrow, I would personally not run for an entire hour today, especially if you haven't taken a rest day in a week. Your body needs rest, you can overtrain which can lead to strain, burnout and/or injury. If you really want to do something, do some yoga or pilates. Go for a less intense walk. If you feel like you can run, do it, but if your body is telling you to rest, do it.
