so i have my calories set to lose 1 pound a week (1380) but this whole week i have gone over by what seems like a lot (300-500) BUT im still under 2000 calories. so while i KNOW im not losing a pound each week im still doing somewhat okay right?

figure out your BMR and TDEE here: http://theskinnyequation.blogspot.com/p/weight-loss-calculators.html
then make sure your calories come in somewhere between those two numbers. Ideally, about 500 cal less than your TDEE, but not lower than your BMR.0 -
You're doing great! You still have a deficit! So while it not fall off as quickly, you're still making some positive changes. Keep it up, and maybe lower the caloric intake slowly so you adjust to eating a little less. Don't let it hinder your motivation0

remember, ideally you'll wanna shoot for that 1400, even 1500 to lose weight at a good pace. it's ok to eat more, but just know it will effect the speed of your weight loss. as long as you're not going over the 1900 mark though, you won't gain.0
