I don't get it...

Unprocessed foods are best, but maintaining an all whole food diet can be challenging, so try to look for things that are less than 30% and less than 10% saturated fat, because it's not just the calories, it's where the calories come from.
To figure out how many calories come from fat, multiply the grams of fat by 9 (because there are 9 calories in a gram of fat), so for an example, I grabbed a box of cracker from my cupboard, and in 10 crackers there are:
90 total calories
4.5 grams of fat
1.5 grams of saturated fat
So 4.5x9 = 40.5, 40.5/90 =0.45
and 1.5x9 = 13.5, 13.5/90 = 0.15
So these crackers are 45% fat, and 15% saturated fat, so they're not a good choice....
Seems like a lot of work but the more you do it, you start to know what is good and what's not, and if you never eat anything over 30% fat than your overall diet will not be above 30% fat, and it will help you lose weight.
(On a side note, these crackers also expired in March of 2010 lol, they are really not good lol)0 -
It just doesn't seem possible that you gained 15 lbs inside of a week. Maybe, under a doctor's supervision and a dietician is helping and you force down milkshakes all day and you are super morbidly obese already...
Also, for real, if you were retaining that much water, you would feel it. You would feel bloated.
This is a crazy fluctuation.
I really want to say your scale tweaked out on you or something.0 -
has anyone asked/wondered if perhaps she is using different scale? weighing at different times? weighing on uneven surfaces?
or if all of these are constants, maybe the scale is simply broken?
Same scale, just bought a month ago and same surface. Though, I have weighed at different times but usually try to do it in the morning after I pee and before I do anything else.
is the scale on a HARD surface? carpet or anything soft will distort the weights.
also, have you tried any other scales?
I really think this is too much weight gain for one week.
It's possible it's water, but Im more inclined to think your scale is wonky.0 -
Could be your cycle too (assuming you have one). Although I agree it's a big difference.0

Wheat doesn't mean whole grains. Honey wheat bread for example, it's not whole grains.
So true. You really need to read labels. Some wheat breads are the same as eating white breads.
So 9 grains and such like that?
