Has anyone done it or is training for it? I plan to do the run in 2014 and would love to meet new people that are doing it too/experienced it. What is your training regimen?

I have downloaded the mudderling boy camp, but I haven't really tried it yet. I am working on my push-ups first.
BOOT camp, not boy camp. Thanks a lot, auto correct!0 -
I'm going to do the one in Minneapolis in 20140

I want to do it in 2014 also. I plan to follow one of their training programs on their website. It looks like a fun challenge! This year I want to do a lot of the fun 5ks like the Color Run, Dirty Girl etc. My first 5k is tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!0

I've done the tough mudder twice and I'm planning on doing it again this year. It's a lot of fun while challenging your body.
Make sure you can run 14-16 miles (off road) and that you can lift your body weight (you have to pull yourself over/through/under obstacles). Good Luck!0 -
I am considering one in September here, but I am worried that my functional strength is not up to the task. I can't do a pull-up still, for example. I am certain I will have enough endurance for the event in general if I keep going with my current routine, but the functional strength thing is a hard pill to swallow.0

I just hired a personal trainer, and am giving myself over a year to train hardcore. I'm pretty determined to get to where I need to be to finish the event. Congrats on finishing twice. You're a beast!0 -
I want to do the zombie 5k in spring 2014
My husband is interested in doing a Tough Mudder in 2014 I think.0 -
I'm leading a team of 10 mudders (so far!) in Pittsburgh in August. We've done Warrior Dashes up to this point, we wanted a bigger challenge. I run regularly, which includes a long run every other weekend, and I do bootcamp at least twice a week. I'll also be starting a powerlifting program soon. This summer, we'll be training on the mountain trails here by our homes (in WV) and we're also going to set up obstacles on that trail to mimick the toughest obstacles.0

My plan is to get to body weight goal by my one year mark in June.
From there, I want to start working towards heavier lifting and longer running in order to do a tough Mudder in 2014.0 -
My goal is to do one at sometime in my fitness future. Right now I know Im not fit enough to do it. But someone else suggested a WArrior Dash before I try the TOUGH MUDDER, it seems like its a shorter run and the obstacles are not as challenging.0

I did one last year and I'm signed up for another one next month It's fun and challenging. You need to train well enough to be able to pull your own body weight over obstacles and be able to run at least 12 miles.
I didn't do any of the little 5Ks before doing the Tough Mudder, and honestly since I've done the mudder the other races just look silly! Train hard and go for it! My training includes weight training 3 times a week--make sure it includes things like squats, push ups, pull ups, and lunges. I also do cardio 2-3 times a week and when it gets closer to race time I change my cardio to strictly running. The week before the run I cut out my weight training and take the day before off completely.
Good luck!0
