Eat what you are used to eating, especially the morning of. You don't want to surprise your body with anything. Chances are you worked out what worked for you nutrition-wise during training.

I usually eat at maintenance the week before a marathon, and carb load 2-3 days before. The day before I eat until i am full, but not stuffed, and I stay away from anything spicy/full of fiber. My typical pre-race dinner would be something like grilled salmon and quinoa with a salad. Keep hydrated all week.

I use caffeinated gels while running a race, and I want them to be extra effective, so I will cut caffeine to a bare minimum starting the week before.

    Good luck! Enjoy the race!
