A little motivation for you today... it comes straight from the story of me!
I got to about 380 lbs. I am 5'4. Im sure people have looked at me in disgust. I looked at myself that way. I had always been a little heavier starting in about the 5th grade. Athletic in high school blah blah blah.
Fast forward 2008. I was over weight but my life had forever changed. It started with LOUD ringing in my ears, I would be awake for days on and off crying because it was awful. Started to get dizzy. Would fall over. Balance issues became an every day thing. And the thing that was most noticeable was fluctuating hearing loss. I would call my mother crying in tears because I didn't know what was wrong. I had went to my regular doctor who saw nothing wrong. Sent me to an Audiologist to get a hearing test. And it wasn't normal, he saw things in my tests he didn't like and referred me to an ENT (ears, nose, throat specialist) It was a couple months of testing and waiting. Was fitted for hearing aids that actually kind of made the ringing go away. Was finally diagnosed with Menieres Disease. I don't have any enemies, but if I did, I wouldn't even wish this on them. Vertigo for sometimes days that wouldn't end. And the only thing that felt like a reasonable thing to do was knock my head into a wall so I wouldn't wake up till it stopped. Clearly that wasn't an option but you get my drift.
Over the next year my hearing had dropped in both ears from a moderate loss to a moderate severe loss. Now I am borderlined severe. I fell into a severe depression. I lived in a constant limbo of not being able to hear when I wanted to and people around me having to adapt to me and my new issues.
I realized losing my hearing wasn't the awful thing, it was all the other things I had to deal with. They made living life really hard sometimes. I rarely drive because I can get a drop attack at any moment. Once I had one and I ended up falling down stairs and broke my Tibia.
I still have those issues and there are days I get up and don't want to workout but I decided that I was just tired of being unhealthy. I get dizzy, I fall... but now, I get up... I will never get my hearing back.. But my attacks and symptoms are less severe since starting this journey. It truly can be done. Under severe or non-severe circumstances.
So here are some pictures I've had. before and now.. 380 to 315 in the last 4 months. And I will reach my goals... I have to.

I have moderate-severe hearing loss, genetic from my mother's side. It started as moderate and then progressed to moderate-severe as I got older. There is a possibility that one day I could go completely deaf and that terrifies me. As a side effect to my hearing loss, I deal with vertigo and balance issues. It's very frustrating when people make fun of me because they'll never understand.
One thing I was taught as a child, and I pass on to you...do not let your hearing loss define you. You are the same as everyone else and capable to do whatever you want (which is showing in your amazing weight loss journey!)
On the positive side...there are some hidden perks...we get to turn down the world when it gets too loud, and sleep through the night without hearing the phone ring or the neighbor's dog barking.
If you ever need to talk to someone, I'm here for you. You're doing a great job - keep going and you will go far!0 -

My mother I am suffer for the same disease. People almost think its in your head sometimes the way the vertigo hits but we know how real it is. One thing that helped my mom immensely was a shunt in her ear. It might be worth checking into.0

Wow! You can really see the difference! I posted today with my story which involved a lot of similar symptoms to yours. I have something called Chiari malformation. I just had brain surgery 18 days ago. You can get through this! I am on my phone so I can't post a link to my post unless I come back to edit this one! Good luck and do whatever it takes to get healthy!0
