I am a mother of 4, a military wife, a stay at home mom and I go to school on line to be able to work online so that I can continue to be a stay at home mom and bring money in at the same time. A few months ago I found out I had Fatty liver disease and I literally must get in shape and stay in shape or it will kill me. I struggle because I love food, but I also get very little support from my husband he is constantly ordering out or cooking fatty foods. I am determined not to let his poor choices stop me.

Well, if you cook, then he wouldn't have much reason to order out, right? My HB looks forward to me cooking dinner every night, and I don't mind. I like picking healthy choices for us. He just doesn't always know its healthy:)
You may have to be your own support system. Since you stay at home, you can do workout videos or take your kids for a walk or to the park. Try to make healthy choices.
Good luck!0 -
Cook for you then. Let him eat the crap he wants to eat & being in the military he should know better. You are not forced to eat anything you dont want to.0

Ok... Live for YOU. You are only going to take care of you. I've learned this the hard way. Ignore any and all foods that have ingredients that are too hard to list, or list thats longer than your finger is wide. Simple is better. Walking is a great way to start, music also helps. You can do this, its up to YOU. All we can be is backup and encouragement, starting is half the battle. Remember that. You're awesome for starting already. Get pumped, get excited, woo!0

I often pass up hubbys offer of fast food for something healthy at home. It's all a choice. You decide what YOU eat!!!0

I have a husband the same way but if you just start planning healthy meals then eventually you break them down and they start accepting it. Also do it for yourself think of it like cancer if you don't take radical action then the only result is death! exercise is like kemotherapy for you and healthy food is like your supplements to build your immune system.0

I do cook and it is healthy for me and my kidos but I am constantly finding fast food bags in the car and trash and he orders out pizza while I am cooking. so that's on him I don't actually eat every time he orders out the way he was raised was a lot different then me we hardly ever ate out his mom ordered out a lot.0
