Put on weight???

Hi everyone.
Recently I've put in 6 lbs and my breasts have gone up 3cup sizes. I haven't changed my diet and I exercise regularly. I have PCOS and I've been on a different pill for about 9 months (Yasmin from dianette). I changed my calorie goal on MFP to 1380 as I thought eating more would help (??!) but I've put it back to 1200 now to see if that will make a difference. I'm so unhappy and don't know what to do. I've made a doctors appointment for next week as I think it may be hormonal? I'm going to ask to have a coil fitted instead of the pill and see what happens?
Other PCOS sufferers- is this the right thing to do? I'm desperate! :-(

As a person with pcos since the beginning of puberty (or the start of menstruation) I cake pounds on, I find that a low calorie works better for me but also higher cardio.0

I still think your higher calorie goal is too low, try upping it by 100cals a week.
Eat more protein and drink craploads of water (it helps me anyway).
Up the cardio but try and do some strength training too to help tone.

I suggest you ask your doctor about getting on Metformin. It's a very common treatment for PCOS. Yaz might be an issue too. I know a lot of people with PCOS that didn't do well on yaz, myself included. I've been on various BC pills since I was 15, the best I've found so far (for myself) are seasonale. The biggest indicator of whether your BC is working well with your body or not is if it keeps your periods regular for more than a few months, and it lessens the pain you normally feel related to your PCOS.
As far as Metformin, it's used in some pre-diabetic and diabetic patients to regulate blood sugar. In PCOS patients, it's used to regulate the same hormones, but for a different reason/outcome.

The oby prob is that fr metformin doesn't your BMI have to be high? Mine's 25, so I'm right at the top of 'healthy weight'....0

I don't know that your BMI has to be high. That's something to discuss with your doctor.0
