Best place to buy cheap dumbbells?

I'm a beginner and I'm looking for cheap dumbbells. Any suggestions?

    Craigslist. Buy used-- they're cheap as hell.

    If you buy them new, they cost about a dollar a pound-- which really ads up.

    Academy Sports has good prices on dumbells. Sometimes they even have a buy one get one free sale.

    I bought some for my son at Target, they were not that expensive. You might also try Walmart, their prices are usually fairly similar to Target although I much prefer shopping at Target.

    Walmart has them pretty cheap. You can probably start with just two sizes for now if you don't want to spend a lot.

    You've got a lot of options. You could always start with a few smaller ones, and add to your set incrementally as needed. They'll run you $10 each and up.

    An adjustable is expensive up front, but chances are it would be all you need for a while.

    Check out Walmart - you can find them for cheap -look at the sets - and the price for home delivery is inexpensive as well. It was $.99 per item when I got mine. Sure beats lugging them from the store.

    This. Saw a nearly complete starter set locally for under $50. Would set you back $250+ new.
