Tangerine Weight-Orade

Has anyone tried this? it was featured on the Dr. Oz show.

This is what I found on it.

Tangerine Weight-Orade
For a powerful metabolism-boosting drink, try Dr. Oz’s Tangerine Weight-Orade. It contains: green tea, shown to boost metabolism 12% by drinking just one cup; tangerine, with a chemical composition that increases sensitivity to insulin and stimulates genes that help to burn fat; and mint, a calorie-free flavor enhancer.

In a large pitcher, combine:

8 cups of brewed green tea
1 tangerine, sliced
A handful of mint leaves

Stir this delicious concoction up at night so all the flavors fuse together. Drink 1 pitcher daily for maximum metabolism-boosting results.

Update: I just made this drink, now I'm waiting for it to cool down and have all the juices fuse together, and it already smells GREAT!

    Oh dear.

Another Dr Oz gimmick. Better just buying green tea and having by itself. No food has any substantial effect on metabolism, to my knowledge,

It sounds delicious. That is the only reason I'd drink this. You cannot artificially boost your metabolism, it repairs itself over time.

Sounds tasty - but take a look at the ingredients. They've existed since the beginning of time. I'm certain that we would have found out before Dr. Oz let us in on it that this combination of ingredients would have metabolism-boosting benefits as well.

Well regardless whether this recipe will actually help speed up your metabolism or not, it's gotta be a better substitute than sugar-laden soda's and sports drinks. It sounds refreshing.

I'm not trying this because it was on Dr. Oz show, honestly i've never even watched the show. I was looking up good-tasting drinks that combine natural ingredients to boost metabolism.

Mint by itself has a LOT of natural benefits. I went to Massage therapy school and I'm avid in trying to do things Naturally.

After I read the sentence in bold I stopped reading. It's BS. Search "Dr. Oz" using the search function on here. He's well known for being a quack. Just eat less/move more and you'll lose weight.

It appears to me that everyone is attacking me for just MENTIONING Dr. Oz. That's not what this topic is about. It's about the drink. Sheesh.

Well I doubt it's going to change your metabolism, but it sounds tasty enough so enjoy.

And I think it's Dr Oz being attacked, not you dear. He's a quack

No one is attacking you. Dr. Oz is a big, fat liar, though, for letting people think this beverage will assist in weight loss.

nothing unhealthy about the ingredients. It's probably a nice refreshing low-cal drink. Enjoy!

It's unlikely to do anything to change your metabolism, though.

I didnt attack you at all. I stop reading any posts that reference Dr. Oz and his "diet cure of the week" hocus pocus. The drink may taste awesome, but I seriously doubt it will raise your metabolism. Enjoy the drink and hope for the best, I guess.

I'll ignore Dr. oz's recommendation but since I'm drinking like 5 cups of green tea a day lately, I might have to try that to mix it up

it smells delicious. Just waiting on it to cool down. Puttin' the mint and tangerines (I used oranges cause the store didn't have good tangerines) add some good natural flavor into it.

I agree with the Dr Oz gimmicks and that foods alone do not boost your metabolism, but it does sound good. That would be the only reason I would drink it.
