South Beach Vegetarian Lifestyle

So, based on a lot of research into my body type and such, I'm going to be embarking on a lower carb, South Beach - type vegetarian lifestyle. I really think this is going to be the best move for me since my body never processed refined carbs well in the first place. I just don't know how to even begin! I can't just load up on bacon and grilled chicken salads... I need a shopping list, STAT! Can anyone help? Better yet, has anyone had success living this lifestyle?
