Interesting about Popes
Before you read on, this is not to affirm or deny anyone's faith, I just find this interesting.
Anyways, back in the 15th century, there was a prophecy by a guy named St. Malachy. He made a prediction about who the last 10 popes would be before the apocalypse. He set a nickname to each one so they would be recognizable. The former Pope, St. Benedict, was number 9. Next week, the Board of Elections for Popes (<---don't know what that's called) is going to choose the next Pope. If Malachy is right (and he's 9 for 9 right now), then the next Pope would have somehow be associated with the moniker "Peter the Roman" and he would be the last Pope before the end of the world.
Now, I'm not saying he's right or wrong, but there are 2 guys up for election named Peter and apparently one of them, Cardinal Bertone, was born in Romano, Italy. Anybody interested in Eschatology want to chime in their POV?

They were written in the 1500's. Saint Malachy died in 1148. It would be a bit difficult for him to write the prophecies from the grave.
p.s. It's 112 popes on the list not 10 and they're not nicknames; they're vague descriptions that are widely open to interpretation.0 -

Maybe they were a side project by Nostradamus.0 -

For those that want to read all about it.
Shown to be fake, very strained links.
But is OP suggesting that if Pete the roman isn't elected the prophesy is weong?0
