Mini Goal to be "Overweight"

Hi, everyone. So, I've been on MFP for about a month, but haven't really lost yet. The exercise part is not an issue for me, but I'm having trouble staying honest with my diet. My short term goal is to get my BMI out of "Obese" and into "Overweight," which equates to about 8 lbs. My long term goal is to reach the 120s (about 50 lbs total loss). I put some pants on today that I found looser than the last time I wore them, but the scale isn't really telling me anything new. Looking for any and all friends, no matter their goal. I don't have many friends, but I find it motivating to see people's exercise accomplishments, etc. I've gained and lost so many times, but am finding this go round harder than ever. I have a big trip to Palm Springs in a few weeks to celebrate a milestone birthday, and really need some support.

Cheers,
Rachelle

Hi there. I recently just achieved this goal myself, so I'd be happy to be your friend and help you get there too.

I'm in maintenance, but I'm still around every day (altho I have a vacation coming up soon when I'll be around a little less) and I log food and exercise.

Oh, and losing inches is really more important than losing weight, if not always as exciting. Congratulations on your clothes fitting better!

That is one of my mini goals, too. I've found that I'm losing inches rather than pounds lately so I have no idea when that will happen. I'm also trying to focus on losing one pant size so I don't get down about not losing pounds. I'm *almost* there! I've lost two shirt sizes but my mommy belly is a problem area. :blushing:

Anyway, feel free to add me. I could always use more support and it helps to see other people progressing and trying to make effective changes. Logging calories has helped me SO much.
