We went to open skating today at the local ice rink. It's a two hour session where they make you leave the ice for 10 minutes in the middle while they run the Zamboni. Normally I get about 15 or 20 minutes before my feet or lower back hurt and I need to go sit for a bit. So open skate for me has normally been shifts of skating and sitting back and forth for two hours. Today I went out and skated the first hour, sat for the Zamboni and then went and skated the second hour. No unnecessary breaks. As a bonus my Bodymedia says I knocked out 642 calories while I was there.

I felt incredibly happy; it was as good as the first time someone told me I look like I have lost weight.
