Yesterday I bought the Nike anodyne shields and they seemed a perfect fit. However running in them this morning I got an ache almost like cramp down either side of my foot. Does anyone know why this could be ? Are they too narrow or could I of just had them tied a bit tight ? They should be perfect for my gait etc

Thank you

I know I use to experience some pain on the outside edge of my feet caused by my shoes being too narrow.(can't say if it's the same area you have it) I now get fitted at a specialized running store. I haven't experienced any problems with new runners since(had to go to a 2E in most shoes) , even on the first run. I still ease into them with shorter runs to start. Most running stores I have dealt with will give you a few days to try them out and will except returns if they aren't fitting properly. If they continue to be a problem that could be an option.

Okay thank you very much for your reply :)

It only really aches on one foot so im hoping I just had them a tad too tight :)
My previous shoes were completely the wrong gait etc and too wide so Im wondering whether it could be because they are used to that :S
