Cathy --- you and me the same with the scale ! LOL ..... my number though is going to make me PUSH REALLY HARD this weekend ! Aw thats nice to have him home for lunch! my hubby comes home for lunch every day !!!!! our entire town on the island only takes 10 mins to get from the airport to the other end LOL !

Sandy -- Ahhh how exciting ! and look at you only 4 lbs away from your goal !! THAT IS AWESOME ! .... Im so proud of you ! everytime you go to over drink keep telling yourself "LOOK HOW FAR IVE COME" cuz drinks pack a heavy amount of calories ! ... HAVE A BLAST ! cant wait to hear how it was ! yea we want to take wyatt on a few cruises tooooo ! but maybe a disney cruise .... when he can enjoy all the fun activities aboard ! Its so nice how they have it .... because you can drop them to the activity center... and sign them in... and NOBODY OTHER THEN YOU ..... can sign them out ! so safe !

WELL i went on the scale this morning lol.. unofficially im back to 264 WOOHOOOOOO ! ... down from 268 last week .... !!!!! SOOOOOO i am going to keep on pushing to maybe be lucky and see less then that on tuesday although I WILL bE THrilled if its still around that ...... Pushing for 259 by May 9th ! i can do it !
My new firm wave is FANTASTIC ! today is rest day ... so i will do 2-3 miles later when the baby naps.... and then tomorrow is day three of the firm ! they say you see visible results within 10 workouts which is roughly two weeks !!!! so thats around my birthday ! WOOHOOO !
So im doin great ! yesterday was another PERFECT workout/eating healthy day ! ..... so i feel like im starting to be on that trend where the initial period of getting junk out of your system is GONE ! .... always takes me a few weeks..... of not eating stuff and craving it... before i stop cravin bad stuff and start craving good for me stuff ! and i have a calendar for the working out to go by ! ... so with the firm and the walking im doing ! im sure its bound to pay off !0 -

Amy- I have a wave as well. LOVE the workout. I started at first without the weights and now I use them. When I swim, I still like to do the ab workout. It can kick your butt. Literally!
If finally rained in STL, hopefully this will knock down some of the pollen in the air. Everyones cars were turning yellow. YUK!!! I had friends who never really suffered with allergies having itchy eye problems.

Amy (baha)...Hello!! Yay for the GREAT unofficial weigh-in!! Me too!!! Today I was at 178...from 180 on Tuesday!!! YAY! And I'm glad Wyatt slept for you! We've been SO lucky with Kadence...she ALWAYS sleeps through the night! (Except when she is sick). But she is such a good sleeper! Down at 7:30 or 8:00 and sleeps until about 5:00 or 5:30! She now has 2 teeth and started officially crawling yesterday! AAAAHHH!!! We are actually really excited! She is such a little person now! Not just a baby!
Cathy...hope you are well, my friend! It's okay about the scale...I cheated and peeked today too!
Tiff...glad you love the apartment! That is always a good thing! I wish I could say the same about my house!

Amy (pyr)...I am SO sorry about your puppy. That would for sure be the hardest decision. I lost my first family dog last year (while I was pregnant--which made it MUCH more emotional) and it was VERY hard. She was the most wonderful dog, and she had just gotten old. We had decided that we would have to put her down, and she actually died on her own at my parents house that morning. We know she's in a better place...and that gives us comfort. But it's still hard. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

SO...yesterday was day 3 of being successful!!! I went home and had a lovely evening with my mom! Made a VERY yummy Cowboy Pot Pie for dinner (low calorie) and after my mom left, I went on a walk with Kadence and then did my 15 minute upper body workout! Went to bed with remaining calories again! LOVE it!!! And feeling great! A little bummed now because it's raining and is supposed to continue raining all weekend...which means no walks! But I will get in my 15 minute workouts for sure, and if I can, some treadmill time!
Here's the meal plan for today:
B-oatmeal, 1/2 c. skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
S-trail mix bar, banana
L-Cowboy Pot Pie (some leftover! YUM!), baby carrots, light yogurt
S-?? (Meeting all afternoon, so probably won't get anything until I get home from work)
D-BBQ marinated pork loin, red potato wedges, garden salad
S-2 reduced fat graham crackers, 4 tbsp. cool whip free
Exercise plan:
15 minute Ab workout and hopefully some treadmill time!

Wow ladies, you are all early birds on here today. Love all the personals I will get mine in later today.
My hubby and me went and put in our applications for a new apartment yesterday hope we get it, it is a bigger 2 bedroom with 2 baths and brand new carpert throughout which is great. Also there is a little playground in the common area for kids which Abby will just love. Would love if it was closer to the mall like we have now but it is just a hop skip and a jump to the interstate so it does not take long at all just about 5 minutes.
But had a wonderful night with my little one and was even better because my hubby got home early from bowling so we got to spend some extra time together last night.
I love fridays because hubby gets off at 3:30 so we actually have a whole night together, I may see if he wants to take dd swimming tonight out in Casselton, they have a great indoor pool and play area.
Well got to run for today, little one is finishing up breakfast so time to get going on the day..... and ladies I know it is late in the morning by my dd seems to set her schedule this week to not getting up until 7:30 or 8:00 like this morning. I am a lucky mommy.

had salmon, rice, and a fresh spinach salad for dinner so good. have left over salad, i am thinking chicken strips on top for lunch tomorrow. DH had that class and he didn't make it home for lunch, so all he had was vending machines. he said he tried to choose the healthiest choice. WHAT!!!!!:0. good for him.

darn scale in one spot a very good amount than move it slightly over and it goes higher. i know just leave where i normally use it. just wanted to see, cause couldn't believe i could lose over 3 in a day. i need to make a spot on the floor and use it there from now on. see it's against the wall so have to pull out. my tummy gets in the way. i'll figure something.

Cathy - ive tried the whole scale moving thing too..... but it usually is the same wherever i put it ..... i agree.... even if the "actual" number may be a little off ... if you keep it in one spot.. then the pounds lost will be correct ! XO ... i got protein in the past few days thanks to you making me a little more aware of it

Got up this morning... day 4 on the firm wave ! ahhh i love it so much! i recommend it to anyone ! its so much fun!
and i had fried egg, 2 slices of turkey bacon and 1/2 cup of grapes and a big jug of water for breakfast !
My grampas 75th birthday is tonight... im making the string bean casserole... and they are having chicken with stuffing, garden salad, and cake and my grannys home-made icecream ! so im eating light the rest of the day ! so i can have one chicken breast, my salad, 1/2 cup of my casserole, (SKIP the stuffing), and 1/2 cup of the icecream (AND YES IM GOING TO TAKE my measuring spoon ) its family ! no sense going over-points !!!!0 -
Amy- LOVE THE NEW PICTURE!!!!!!!! SOOOO ADORABLE! haha and I can totally see u measuring everything out with ur little measuring cups!
As for me I haven't really been good the last two days.. I havent gone to the gym, and yesterday I went to a wings party/bon fire and def. went over calories eating cinnamon bread sticks. :grumble: So today I am going to make sure I am under calories and i am going to get my *kitten* either to the gym or on my tred mill for a few hours!

hubby picked out a cute summer dress at goodwill today and i didn't think it would fit. i didn't even have to unzip it and it looks sooo good. it was a side zipper, not use to those, so really glad i didn't have to unzip it.
makes you eat better for sure. and it's a tax deduction for me.

Amy - have to say I love the pic as well and you are better than me with food so keep up the great work.
B - I know the feeling I am doing the same as you however my comitment is going to be for tomorrow I know I work all day but I must get some excersice in and watch what I eat, today was bad was at in-laws all day, but did not go to overboard. Just keep trying.
As for me not good on the eating or activity front today so I am shooting for tomorrow. I know I can do it. Plus I have a new Baseball jersey coming in and I ordered it a size smaller to get my butt in gear. So I hope that in a month it will fit me perfectly instead of a little tight. It is not a mandatory now but must fit great by July when we go to the game at the new Minnesota Twins stadium so excited.
Well tomorrow should be a good day even though I work I can control all my food intake with out interuption.
Gotta run for now it is late and I need to get to bed.

Good morning.....
going to the craft store today and get iron on transfers and making tee shirts with my realty company name on it. DH said he would wear one too. than home to budget. i had the budget now that i don't know when the paydays are changing to the new company pay. i know payday dates just not when the new amounts. which the first month will pinch. he just went from salary to commission/salary. commission only being paid once a month for the month before. see how confusing. when he lost his job last summer it emptied our savings being out of work for 8 weeks and no unemployment. anyway, life goes on.
sorry for the rambling. bored. need to check the time they open.

well DH wanted chinese for lunch today. i did it, didn't want to cause it's my fav. only got a little bit and only one plate. wasn't even a pile high plate. had water to drink. that is all i have been drinking for a week now. i limit myself to one diet coke. i haven't had an unsweet tea. i gave up artifical sweetner too. i use reg sugar. what a difference i feel.
anyway. good weekend. tomorrow add back in the exercising.

Well , did not have the best day but could have been much worse food wise. So I am not getting to down on myself.
But have a wonderful husband who picked up the house while I was at work so i did not come home to a crazy mess. That lasted oh about 15 minutes considering my dd who is 2 wanted to play with her legos, wood blocks and play food all together let me tell you it is not a pretty sight it looks like a tornado went through our living room. OH WELL it can wait until morning I am going to relax tonight.
Plus one of my favorite movies is on tonight Pretty Woman just love that movie.
I am starting my new routine in the morning and going to be getting up when my husband leaves for work instead of sleeping in I figure that way I can either get a work out in or at least get things ready on the day before dd gets up. I also think this will give me more time to prepare a better breakfast for us. Wish me luck, it is not that it is all that early but I have been spoiled. Since I stay at home with our daughter.

I hope everyone is doing well. Only have a few minutes, so I'll have to hit personals in this upcoming week's thread.
I have been "obsessing" about weight loss and lo and behold, I have lost nothing. These hormones are messing with me big time and I have gained again, knowing that by next week it will go down. The weight I want to lose is actually "vanity weight", so I have decided to let go of my "skinny clothes" and figure out how to be happy with the weight I am. I'm going to try that for a little bit and see if the mental change will affect the rest. After my baby girl was born, I got rid of ALL of my prepregnancy clothes because I didn't want to concentrate on weight loss and just concentrate on my daughter. By my second pregnancy 10 months later, I was actually 14 lb LESS than my prepregnancy weight (breastfeeding helped). I feel like the more I try to change, the less change I'm making. So I'm going to just step back, breath, and figure out how to be happy with who I am now. Once I figure that out, then maybe that will leak over into other areas. Hope I can still be part of the group though :blushing:0 -

I hope you do stay ! get the encouragement you need..... and like you say .... Just live and let be .... and maybe that will shed the lbs for you

Was a pretty good weekend for me! Got in my 15 minute exercises every day...Abs Friday, Lower body Saturday, and Upper body Sunday! Did pretty good eating-wise also. Saturday went just above in calories, and Sunday I dod go over due to Chinese for dinner, but other wise I did really well! Here's the plan for today:
B-oatmeal, 1/2 c. skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
S-trail mix bar, banana
L-sandwich with turkey, salami, cheese, lettuce and cucumber on whole wheat, baby carrots, and light yogurt
S-golden delicious apple
D-Slow cooker salsa chicken with brown rice and green beans
S-Strawberries and cool whip free
Exercise:
15 minute Abs and maybe the treadmill! It's supposed to rain!

Amy - Great job on getting up and getting your work out in.. It sounds like you have found a program that you like and works for you. I hear you on some days just taking it easy during nap time.
Lorna- I hope you do stick around it is great to hear from everyone and I hope you do find support here. Sometimes you just have to give yourself a break and see if it helps.
I am hoping for good numbers on the scale tomorrow have not looked all week so we will see. It is hard not to look today. But I have a re-newed sense of will power today and I want it to stick around. I want to start to get more things back organized and under control in my life. Weight is one of them but just little things like having a clean kitchen each night is nice, it makes me wake up in a better mood the next day. So my goal for this week non weight related is to have a clean kitchen every night when I go to bed. I know it is something small but when things are crazy around me, this has always seemed to mellow my brain.
Well gotta run little one is getting done with breakfast and I have some things to pick up before she gets down.

good morning...
went to the gym this morning, what a nice workout. hadn't been to the gym in a looong time.
lula...i know right where you are at with the mind. i gave up. i don't track anything anymore. i figure i am not going to do that for the rest of my life. i look at food so differently now. for instance if i have a hamburger with bun i won't have fried. i am getting smaller portions. i am trying to be normal if you know what i mean? now the scale is going down. i don't kill myself at workouts either. i haven't worked out in weeks. haven't been to the gym in at least 2 months. today i didn't push. i just walked and some weight machines. it's something. please stick around, we love ya.

off to do laundry and hang it out. i love hanging out laundry. good exercise too. bending down like toe touches. haha.
