I have a cheat day every week on a Saturday where i go out with my boyfriend and eat whatever i want for dinner. Since doing this i have always noticed that i have lost weight by at least a pound in the next two days. Why is this? It seems when i eat more for a day i lose more than if i just dieted all week!

Last week i weighed 122lb and i weighed myself this morning and i am 120.4! It seems crazy to me!

Did you also have a drink?

Acohol is a diuretic, so it could be water.

Wouldn't i retain water not lose water weight? I had a couple of vodka diet cokes. Nothing too major!

"Finally, many have reported whooshes following an evening which included alcohol. A mild diuretic, this would also tend to implicate water balance issues in the whoosh phenomenon."

alcohol can dehydrate you. That may be why you weigh less.

Thank you SO much for that link! I've experienced a "whoosh" recently... I went a couple of months of not losing anything then lost 3lbs in a few days! I totally have the "squish fat" too

Well apparently it is. You don't have to get intoxicated. One drink would probably be enough.

I've had that happen myself, even without alcohol.
