Always weigh less after a cheat day! Why?

I have a cheat day every week on a Saturday where i go out with my boyfriend and eat whatever i want for dinner. Since doing this i have always noticed that i have lost weight by at least a pound in the next two days. Why is this? It seems when i eat more for a day i lose more than if i just dieted all week!
Last week i weighed 122lb and i weighed myself this morning and i am 120.4! It seems crazy to me!

Did you also have a drink?
Acohol is a diuretic, so it could be water.0 -

Wouldn't i retain water not lose water weight? I had a couple of vodka diet cokes. Nothing too major!0 -

"Finally, many have reported whooshes following an evening which included alcohol. A mild diuretic, this would also tend to implicate water balance issues in the whoosh phenomenon."0 -
alcohol can dehydrate you. That may be why you weigh less.0

Thank you SO much for that link! I've experienced a "whoosh" recently... I went a couple of months of not losing anything then lost 3lbs in a few days! I totally have the "squish fat" too :laugh:0 -

I only had 2 drinks though!0 -

Well apparently it is. You don't have to get intoxicated. One drink would probably be enough.0 -
I've had that happen myself, even without alcohol.0
